Lindsey Buckingham, Fleetwood Mac’s principal singer and guitarist for many years, was sprayed with an unknown liquid by someone around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday in Santa Monica, according to a news source, confirming the Lindsey Buckingham substance attack.
The artist, 76, was about to enter the establishment for a scheduled meeting when a woman, whom police described as a stalking suspect, doused him with a liquid as he was going into the building.
The perpetrator fled the scene but the authorities have identified her and are saying that the arrest is very likely. The police stated that the woman was said to have made herself aware of Buckingham’s location prior to the incident.

Lindsey Buckingham luckily went injury free from the incident according to the police.
To The U.S. Sun, the LAPD said that the case is still under their investigation. “The Los Angeles Police Department’s Threat Management Unit is working jointly with the Santa Monica Police Department on the investigation of this matter. As it is a live and open investigation, we want to keep its integrity and will therefore not be giving any further comments at this moment, ” the statement read.
Buckingham, who is a double Grammy Award winner, has been a member of Fleetwood Mac since 1975. He has had a very troubled relationship with the band and his ex-collaborator and former girlfriend, Stevie Nicks.
