Dave Coulier Remission After Fighting Two Types of Cancers
Dave Coulier has gone into remission, without doubt. The actor who featured in Full House conveyed that he was recovering still the end of a “roller-coaster ride” which had its ups and downs of “two different cancers in two years” during his interview with Good Morning America on Wednesday.
The 66 years old star has been diagnosed consecutively with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma and tongue cancer. Looking back on the ordeal, he said to Robin Roberts, “It’s been a journey.” Even with the good news, Coulier acknowledged that he still has a feeling “like cancer is always in the rearview mirror.”
Initially, Coulier revealed his lymphoma diagnosis to the public in November 2024 and by March 2025, he had declared himself cancer-free. Then, just nine months later, he disclosed to the public that he had been diagnosed with p16 squamous carcinoma. At the same time, the Fuller House star shared that “laughing through” had become a part of his survival strategy.

Dave Coulier Says Family Support Was His Mainstay During Cancer Battle
Dave Coulier revealed that close contact with his family and friends was the main factor that kept cancer from “steal[ing] parts” of him “psychologically and emotionally.” He insisted how important it was to keep the people he loves close to him all the time when he was on his healing journey, the Full House alum said during an interview on Good Morning America.
He went on to single out his co-stars John Stamos, as well as his wife Melissa Bring of the two, among his supporters for whom he was most grateful. Bring and Coulier have been married since July 2014.
Bring, 42, who was with him during his health struggles, talked about talents Coulier exhibited during his cancer fight in the media in January 2025 – she admired his “positive attitude,” though she said it made a difference when he admitted that there were days when he just felt down. She further remarked that one of the reasons Coulier was so determined to get well was that he wanted to honor the memory of some family members who had passed away.
Dave Coulier’s Wife Reveals How Family That He Lost to Cancer Gives Him Strength
It was through the losses in his family that Dave Coulier’s fight with cancer has been largely influenced, according to his wife, Melissa Bring. “He really has had to deal with a lot of loss through cancer in his life,” Bring stated. “He lost his mother, his sister, his niece. His other sister was sick with it. So, it is really from them that he derives his strength.”
Prior to his life with Bring starting in 2005, Coulier had been married to Jayne Modean, an actress, and he had also been dating the singer, Alanis Morissette. He and Modean are parents to a son, Luc, who is now 35 years old.
