Olivia Dean, a young, talented singer who recently took the stage in Boston for her ongoing tour entitled “The Art of Loving Tour,” was secretly recorded singing tearfully to a Carly Rae Jepsen song a few days ago. The video of this very touching act was later posted and widely shared on TikTok. As for Liv’s manner while singing, she was in a very emotional state and cried all the time, to the extent of shedding tears all throughout. She was dressed in a breathtaking red dress that had lace accents and looked totally enchanting the whole evening. Dean released the track as the lead single from her fourth studio album, which was highly appreciated in the music industry last year, right back in September. In this track, we see the speaker being deeply hurt when her lover tries to exert his controlling influence over her and wants her to be what he wants her to be, keeping her from becoming what she herself truly wants to become.
On one hand, the song is very emotional and sad, and on the other, it is empowering and motivating since the character that is being depicted here shows the pain and sorrow of a broken heart, yet the song uses the grief of the situation as the means to the end and brings forth that one should fall in love with oneself when the relationship is over, and the fact has already been established through actions that the boyfriend or girlfriend is treating their partner with a lack of respect and kindness is very evident. A few words that show how well the poet has worded these lines are: “Though I’ve tried to hold on, and if you knew me at all, you wouldn’t try to keep me small.”

This is the case because the singer has opted for a refusal to be the main act at Glastonbury next year where Harry Styles is supposed to be on the list. They were linked in a romantic way two years ago although they said they did not date.
