Pregnant Holly Ramsay Supports Adam Peaty at Commonwealth Games

Pregnant Holly Ramsay Cheers Adam Peaty Into 100m Final

Holly‍‌‍‍‌ Ramsay was photographed taking her seat in the stands to watch her husband, Adam Peaty, competing in the 100m breaststroke heat at the Commonwealth Games.
Peaty, formerly named after a character in the computer game ‘Tetris,’ dominated his own heat, managing, quite surprisingly, a 10-minute stoppage as one lane rope unhooked.
The swimmer went straight from the heat to the semifinals due to his fast time; then he managed the semifinals and secured himself for the finals.
Twenty-six-year-old Holly was in the spectator zone cheering her 31-year-old, Adam, on as the big baby bump was clearly visible once the couple announced their baby ‍‌‍‍‌news.

Before the race, the influencer shared a post last month which told people that she is carrying a baby girl with Adam, showed a photo to her Instagram account Stories with Adam in the new ‘Ramsay-Peaty’ swim cap and mentioned: ‘So Special.’

Adam Overcomes Delay to Reach 100m Breaststroke Final

Ramsay-Peaty’s heat was briefly stopped as he had already taken his starting position, but the lane division was torn off the lane wall, and an official had to completely remove his clothes and jump in the pool to join it again. However, he soon made the fastest time of the morning (59.46 seconds), outpacing two competitors only. They‍‌‍‍‌ were both Australians. Sam Williamson was alongside Filip Nowacki of Jersey, who also did it under one minute.
A three-time Olympic champion has been part of the Commonwealth Games competition for 4 years now. After being a teenage gold medalist, he took another step up a notch at the same event back on the track in July 2021. Adam Peaty compares his participation in the Commonwealth Games with going around and being at the top of the wheel again, as he feels that with this competition he wants to find a new career path. Moreover,‍‌‍‍‌ most of the time, the athlete has been mentally getting ready for a potential podium finish at the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024. If his performance stays on the same level as before, then his silver medal will still be the best result. After all, the 2023 season was the toughest one for ‍‌‍‍‌him. That’s because he had to skip some major competitions to concentrate on his mental ‍‌‍‍‌well-being.

His 2014 100m world record win marked the beginning of eight years of near-continuous supremacy over the event. The last time it was broken was so unexpectedly in Birmingham four years ago when he came fourth in the event.

Adam Peaty Reflects on ‘Full Circle’ Return After Reaching Final

Ramsay-Peaty said in one of his post-meet commentaries for TNT Sports: “That was a real job done, honestly. We’ve been looking for some very intensive training sessions after this event, and hence, we were holding our energy at our disposal. “This is the second occasion I’ve appeared here in this venue. Back then, it was me at such a tender age of life with practically nothing else going for me. We hardly had any world records or knew the world records I set, so it’s a very long road indeed that I’ve traveled.”

Ramsay-Peaty showed up wearing a cap with his new name at the Commonwealth Games to see if it would be lucky for him. Adam‍‌‍‍‌ Ramsay-Peaty has just put together his full name for the first time in an international event due to his marriage to Gordon Ramsay’s daughter, Holly, last December. His parents, who were supposed to be his groomsmen on that day, were not able to make it there, and this was quite ‍‌‍‍‌sad.

According to the assumption here, they are also not expected to attend the Commonwealth Games because of the estrangement; Adam still remains disconnected from them. It was recently reported by the Daily Mail that Adam’s expectant sister Bethany (the only person in the family who still has a good relationship with the couple) has, to the surprise of everyone, decided to break contact with Holly also. They not only don’t talk anymore, but this time Adam is the one who is caught between them as he is (so far without success) trying to patch things up for both of them. Family conflict began in the months just after Adam and Holly’s breakup, when the Peaty family members attended Adam and Holly’s engagement party in September 2024.

Adam Peaty’s Name Change Deepens Family Rift, Source Claims

Caroline, who would drop her son for early-morning training sessions without complaint, wasn’t a guest at Holly’s extravagant hen do in the Cotswolds at Soho Farmhouse, though the bride’s mother, Tana, besides Victoria and her friends, was seen at the lavish party. Adam adopting a new name “Ramsay-Peaty” and using the combined surname for his registration at the Glasgow Games is another heartbreak for his separated loved ones since “Ramsay” was put before “Peaty” in the surname.

A previous report claimed, ‘Though Adam may have money, we have things that make him sad; these are brains, loyalty, integrity, and family. ‘Mind you, money can lead you to lose touch with your feelings. When you’re in trouble, or it’s a rotten day for you, it won’t keep you in its arms.’ The source concluded: ‘Fame doesn’t bring joy, but family is a source of strength.’

Adam Peaty Qualifies Fastest Despite Commonwealth Games Delay

Adam‍‌‍‍‌ did not know the lane divider had broken off. In any case, he had no choice but to continue with his heat later, after an official went in the water and took off their clothes, except for the swimming outfit.
As‍‌‍‍‌ expected, the athlete was in no way discouraged by the interruption, and upon resuming the race, he swam the fastest time of the session, 59.46. Only two swimmers could get ahead faster than 60 seconds to finish the ‍‌‍‍‌race. Sam Williamson from Australia and Filip Nowacki from Jersey.

Having won his first Olympic golds, a 19-year-old at Glasgow in 2014, Adam Peaty will be part of the Commonwealth Games; it is only the fourth time he has taken part. Adam has called these games a ‘full circle moment’ as they mark the restart of his career. Adam has won silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and the award motivated him to get back onto the track after a tough 2023 during which he decided upon several occasions to sit out in order to deal with his mental state.

He Targets Fifth Career Gold After Fast Start

Winning the 100m in 2014 marked the start of his 8-year run of mostly complete domination in the race. This streak ended dramatically four years ago in Birmingham when he arrived at the finish line to a fourth-place finish, a huge shock to the fans.

Commenting at TNT Sports, the athlete remarked, “The last time I was here, I was much younger than my current self. I had few or no world records at that time, and the world records were mostly unknown to me, so I have been on a rather long journey,” the athlete explained.

Adam clinched his first of four Commonwealth gold medals in Glasgow about twelve years ago. Having said that, he still intends to top off his medal collection on Saturday before the major pre-LA 2028 Olympics event.
