Jelly‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Roll Reveals Incredible Weight Loss Transformation with Wife Bunnie Xo at Pre‑Grammy Gala

Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie Xo came to the Pre‑Grammy Gala celebrating the 2026 Grammy Awards, with the rapper showing off the result of his weight loss journey.
On Saturday, Jan. 31, the 41-year-old country singer—who confessed to weighing 550 lbs. once—barely resembled himself as he and the Dumb Blonde Podcast host walked the red carpet. Jelly Roll, born Jason DeFord, has revealed through the media that his current weight is approximately 265 lbs., as per Men’s Health.
He chose a classic black textured suit to wear, whereas Bunnie, aged 46, amazed everyone in a skin-tight metallic latex dress. They kissed each other a few times while posing for the photographers.
Jelly Roll also shared with People that a part of their preparations for the evening was him assisting his wife in getting into the latex ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌outfit.

Jelly‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Roll Jokes About How He Helped Wife Bunnie Xo Into Her Latex Pre-Grammy Look

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo shared a funny story from the time preparing for the red carpet. The country singer told how the metallic latex dress which his wife wore needed to be applied in a very special way.
Jelly Roll explained to People, “This outfit right here involved lubrication, which was actually a lot of fun.” Bunnie agreed to the struggle and added, “I had to literally use lube to get into this outfit.”
The artist—who is a triple Grammy nominee this year and one of the categories is Best Contemporary Country Album for Beautifully Broken—seems to have had a great time being the helper. “Hey, as a husband, man, it’s like 10 out of 10 experience,” he laughed while pointing at his wife. “You take your wife one of ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌these.”

Jelly‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Roll and Bunnie Xo Joke About Her “Slip and Slide” Latex Look

The two were playful as they joked around with each other about Bunnie Xo referring to Jelly Roll jokingly having a “latex fetish.”
Jelly Roll took the joke further by pointing out that the metallic dress could be compared to an expensive car.
“I mean that’s one of those things. You could probably get this thing shined up just like a car,” the singer of country music joked. He went on to do a redneck move by pretending to blow on the dress and buff it to a shine. “You could already have the paint shined off this car. I might not take this off of her tonight. I might polish it off.”
Bunnie brushed it off with a laugh and joked, “Later on, he’s going to turn me into a slip and ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌slide.”

Jelly‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Roll Reveals He is Mainly Concerned with his Health in the Wake of a Lifelong Battle with Weight

Jelly Roll has continuously shared that his health is his top priority ever since he started working on losing weight in 2022. On The Bobby Bones Show that year, he talked about his weight problem for almost his entire life—and how he ended up with his well-known nickname.
“I’ve been a higher weight for most of my life,” he said, explaining that his mom started calling him “Jelly Roll” when he was still a small kid. “She started calling me Jelly Roll when I was a young kid, and I spent the next 20 years trying to live up to the name.”
The artist once said that he became a star despite his weight and not because of it. Still, he opened up to People in 2024 about how dropping kilos has radically affected his habits, particularly his on-the-road daily ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌routines.

Jelly‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Roll Claims that His Health Journey Has Totally Changed His Life and Travels

Jelly Roll mentioned that the change in his body image has really changed not only his health, but also the environment around his occupation. Singing during his Beautifully Broken tour, the artist figured he dropped 60-70 lbs and revealed that his life on the road now is completely different to what it was.
“There was a time when the culture I had on tour was all about drinking and drugs,” he told People. “Now the culture of our tour is about eating well, working out, and doing emotional check-ins with our crew every day.”
The changes have also resulted in unexpected personal gains. During a recent chat with Extra, Jelly humorously remarked that he feels younger.
“I feel like I’m a teenager again,” he quipped and added that he is more energetic and confident. “It’s great.”
Jelly has revealed that his pursuit of fitness is what has made his days better and even his love with wife Bunnie ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Xo.
