Why Bachelor Madi Prewett Claims That She Enjoys Being a “Submissive Wife” to Grant Troutt So Much
Madi Prewett shares her struggles and victory of submission in marriage
After her brief 15 minutes of fame on The Bachelor, Madi Prewett continued to shine in her life outside the show. She just gave a very insightful interview of her life with husband Grant Troutt and revealed that being in a “submissive” relationship with her husband is what makes her happy.
“I personally, as a submissive wife, struggled a little at the beginning of the journey,” said Madi on the Dec.1 episode of the Stay True podcast, “however, now it’s actually my favorite thing and I even like to talk about submission.”
She has never really hidden the fact that she chooses to submit. During her podcast in June 2024 she revealed, “In my role as a wife, I’m just supposed to submit, respect, and honor. I have to be the one that’s most committed and also keep the marriage bed pure.”
Madi and Grant are proud parents of a 10-month-old daughter, Hosanna.

Madi Prewett on submission, faith, and challenges in marriage
Madi Prewett shared, “I am the one who is to make him, besides God, my greatest priority.” She shared her journey from being a feminist to realizing that she was “rebelling against God’s original design.”
“Madi said that when she submitted to her husband, she discovered the security that she was looking for.” She explained that “it was not in the nagging, it was not in the controlling, it was not in the feminist approach that I got security, it was in the submission.”
Nevertheless, she confessed that it is still “difficult” for her to follow this standard. “They are just dead wrong at times, she said. “There are moments when maybe they don’t deserve the respect and that’s just the reality of life in general. We are all imperfect, they are imperfect too.”
Madi Prewett highlights partnership and mutual respect as the main pillars in marriage
While Madi Prewett did not shy away from the idea of submission, she very much insisted that she and Grant Troutt be considered “partners.”
“I do not lose my say,” the 28-year-old explained. “We are in marriage together, we are a team. We decide together, and I see him as the leader.”
