Gary Busey Sentenced to Probation
It was decided that Gary Busey would be on probation for two years. The decision was made after Busey pleaded guilty to inappropriate touching of a woman in 2022.
Buddy Holly Story star’s, 81, had his sentence on Thursday, as per the information in a court report obtained by Page Six. In return for the plea, Busey will also be asked to provide a DNA sample and stay away from the two victims.
“He is delighted to get past this New Jersey incident that has been the source of very bad press over the last three-plus years — that is, not of his own doing,” Busey’s lawyer, Blair Zwillman, said to Page Six on Sunday. “He is retired, lives for his time as an actor, and basically wants to move on.”

Guilty Plea and Dropped Charges
In the month of July, the Oscar-nominated actor made a guilty plea to one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact for the inappropriate touching of a woman at a horror film convention in New Jersey in August 2022. “Busey stated to Judge Gwendolyn Blue during a remote hearing, ‘It was not an accidental touching.'”
In exchange for the plea, the prosecutors’ office decided to recind the rest of the charges, which went on to include three more counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and one count of attempted criminal sexual contact.
On the basis of the incident, the Lethal Weapon star was charged with sexually molesting Busey in front of the camera during the event, which was an annual photo-op session at the Monster-Mania Con, held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Camden, New Jersey.

Initial Denial
It was announced that Busey had grasped the behind of two women and tried to unhook the bra of one of them without their consent at the convention.
He went on to say to TMZ that “there was no incident” during their short meet which he estimated to be “less than 10 seconds.” Meanwhile, the Predator 2 star denied the reports saying, “I did not do this.”
Besides, Busey was so sure that the women “had fabricated a story” about the mays of assault that he proceeded to refute their allegations.
