Barbra Streisand has been raving about Ariana Grande.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Streisand took to Instagram to post a lovely throwback photo with Grande and greatly praised the “thank u, next” singer in the text of her post.

At 83 years old, Streisand wrote, “One of the main qualities of the young woman named Ariana is her incredible talent. She has a uniquely beautiful voice and many other things send.”

She can act, she can dance, she can be funny! She’s also sweet, kind and thoughtful,” she went on. “I’m very proud of you Ariana and thanks for singing with me on my album… Big hug, Barbra.”

“P.S. you were wonderful on Saturday Night Live and looked so pretty @arianagrande!,” the “Evergreen” singer added, referring to Grande’s recent performance on the famous NBC show.

Barbra Streisand Expresses Her Love for Ariana Grande on Instagram

Barbra Streisand’s shout-out to Ariana Grande on social media is at a time when the pop star is super busy.

Earlier this year, the news came out that Grande would be the star of Focker In-Law, the fourth film in the Meet the Parents franchise. Streisand has been part of the series since 2004’s Meet the Fockers.

In a June interview on Today, Ben Stiller, who stars with Grande, jokingly said that he could not reveal much about her role but that she is “so good with comedy.” He further stated, “She will be really, really funny and, in a way, the whole engine of the new movie.”

On her end, Streisand put out her new album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume 2, in June. The work includes a star-studded array of collaborators, Ariana Grande among them, who lends her vocals to “One Heart, One Voice,” a track on which Mariah Carey also sings.

Barbra Streisand Says She Needs “A Lot of Money” to Come Back for Focker In-Law

During an interview with Variety’s Just for Variety podcast back in June, Barbra Streisand was quizzed about whether she would consider playing the role of Roz Focker again in the Focker In-Law movie.

“Oh my God. They’d have to pay me a lot of money, really, because I was not paid on par with the other people and so I feel cheated,” she explained.

“I was there at the time when women were getting paid less than men,” Streisand continued. “Ron Meyer was the head of Universal then and he sent me a bonus check, very sweet.”
