Val Chmerkovskiy Regretted to His Fans After Been Quarantined for Vertigo
The professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, 39, has apologized to his fans after being admitted to the hospital with vertigo that he was unable to perform at a Dancing With the Stars Live Tour show in Peoria, Illinois. He posted a photo of himself in the hospital on Instagram and wrote, “My apologies to all the fans that came out to see us today in Peoria.” Thank you to my fellow castmates for rallying. Little bump in the road I’ll be good to go asap. It takes quite literally me not being able to stand on my feet to keep me off that stage. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t make it tonight.”
Apart from that, Val Chmerkovskiy explained his condition in a video he shared on his page. “Hey guys. So yeah, my mistake. I was supposed to be in Peoria, but the doctor was OK — shout out to Claire our [physical therapist] on tour, and everyone on our tour who helped me get through this,” he said. “I’ve just been having vertigo for the past couple of days and had it yesterday.”
He Was “Spinning Everywhere” From Vertigo
Val Chmerkovskiy has offered more details about the vertigo that was serious enough for him to be taken to a hospital, him not performing at the Dancing With the Stars Live Tour show in Peoria, Illinois, and mostly stopping his dancing. The 39-year-old entertainer revealed that in the evening when he did the performance, he was still able to continue the show, but after the show while they were on the way, things got worse.
“I got through the show [yesterday], and then we ran some tests, and again we’re on the bus,” said Val. He further added that he’s been familiarizing himself with vertigo more and more, telling how “it’s really hard to get it back once that little crystal in your balance … comes out.”
“I am just spinning everywhere,” he went on. “So when I’m on the bus, and it’s moving… I just woke up and couldn’t get myself together.”
Val also mentioned that he is looking forward to taking advantage of the upcoming day off to rejuvenate himself and get back to performing on the stage soon. “Hopefully, tomorrow’s the day off, and I’ll be back on Tuesday,” he finished.
The DWTS Live Tour will be ongoing until May.
