Perez’s Family Disclose That Children Were Scared And Left The House
Perez Hilton’s family has indicated the kids were among those fleeing his house the day he was in a self-harm condition. He shocked his followers when he walked around with a knife while making a live video on TikTok.
A “number of” 911 dispatches were already made before the cops reached there. Perez’s physical condition was the main reason for those emergency calls. The Mirror decided not to run the clips of Perez covered up in his own blood.
Perez has three kids: Mario, 13 years old, Mia, 11, and Mayte, the youngest, who is 8.
Perez has custody of his three children only, and the family was thankful on behalf of all people around the world who came forward during a very dangerous crisis the family faced.
The family clarified that the children, the niece, and Perez’s sister were leaving the house to avoid witnessing anything else traumatic.

Hilton’s Family Shares Children’s Escape During Crisis
“Our family cannot adequately thank everyone who has showered us with love, support, and prayers amidst this very heartbreaking moment,” wrote the family in a message on the famous blogger’s website. “The past few days were a living ordeal for our family,” the note said.
Only shortly before the public livestream incident, Perez’s children, niece, and sister were in the house. When it became clear that Perez was undergoing a serious mental health crisis and was hurting himself, they immediately took it upon themselves to flee the house in hopes of preventing the children from witnessing any more of it.
We are concentrating on nothing other than helping the children heal from what they have been through at the moment. A significant aspect of this is giving the children the freedom to return home safely and start rebuilding a sense of security and normality.”
Perez Hilton’s Family Pleads for Privacy After Crisis
To protect the children’s safety, privacy, and general well-being, the family kindly but firmly asked members of the press and paparazzi, as well as the public and content creators, to stay away from the vicinity of the house and refrain from returning in the future. After some discussion, the family revealed the only privacy request they would make concerns the followers. They added, “We ask you to give his children a chance to stay private and have the space they really want at this moment—it’s impossible for anyone to imagine.”
Perez and his family will use their official website, PerezHilton.com, as one of their sources to keep people informed about the condition. “Thank you very much once again for your understanding, kindness, and ongoing prayers.”

Police Reveal Response to Perez’s Mental Health Crisis
When “multiple” calls were made by local police to inform them of the incident, they decided to go to confront Hilton in person but then changed it and opted for a crisis intervention approach.
They said they would be attempting to talk to Hilton so as to make it easier and get to a better understanding. Meanwhile, mental health professionals who happen to be licensed were at the site, and they were “helping the family and also giving them some resources.”
In their statement, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office elaborated, “A lot of situations involve people whose mental health could be in crisis or who are deliberately hurting themselves. In such cases, the deputies will focus on de-escalation mainly by giving the person an extended time, a change of place, and opportunities where the person can speak.
“If nobody is physically endangered, deputies can use crisis intervention techniques to slow down things in the hope and belief that doing so will minimize the possibility of a suicide-by-cop incident and also decrease the risk of harm to the person, cops, and the general public.”
