Did Marilyn Monroe die as a result of murder? Weighing the Conspiracy Theories on Her 100th Birthday

The Death of Marilyn Monroe Continues to be a Cause of Suspicion and Conspiracy Theories

Just days before she died, Marilyn Monroe told Life magazine that everything she’d been through had changed her. The hard times, she said, made her more mature. They’d taught her things. Then she was gone.

Besides that, the Some Like It Hot actress touched on one of her future aims, ‘I hope my work will serve as an example for others for the lessons I was able to learn through my life.’

Questions About Marilyn Monroe’s Death Persist Decades Later

Although she was publicly struggling with drug abuse, depression, and falling out of favor with the professional circle, the cause of death of Marilyn Monroe remains a mystery to this date.

In June 1962, Monroe was fired from the romantic comedy Something’s Got to Give since she kept missing filming times. Her death is officially recorded as a probable suicide, but speculations have never fully died. It has been almost 64 years since her passing, time during which police, authors, and fans have taken a very close look at her last moments to find evidence for a possible murder.

According to writer James Patterson, he became fascinated with the case’s unsolved mysteries at the time of the work on the book The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe and decided to focus on it. “I was unaware of the death scene, the autopsy not being as thorough as it should have been, or that one of the detectives was so certain the scene was a setup,” Patterson stated to The Hollywood Reporter. Although the book is presented as fiction, it is co-written by James Patterson and Jerry B. Jenkins, and the narrative is based on James Patterson’s inquiry into the actual events.

The mystery of Marilyn Monroe is maintained by fiction and speculation.

Oates says that the book is a work of fiction, but she also agrees that the ending leaves it to the readers to interpret in various ways. “It could be a hallucination, ” Oates said in 2022. “But I also wanted to keep the possibility like an alternative universe. “

Kennedy Rumors Continue to Be a Part of Marilyn’s History

Marilyn Monroe’s tale is often interwoven with the rumor of Kennedy belonging to her life. Nevertheless, to date, these stories are still largely a matter of debate and remain without confirmation.

Until now, there has been no record of any Kennedy publicly mentioning Marilyn Monroe. However, according to J. Randy Taraborrelli in his upcoming book Jackie: Public, Private, Secret (2023), Marilyn Monroe called Jackie Kennedy Onassis in 1962, and the latter felt that the actress was very emotionally vulnerable. On the other hand, a pal of Marilyn, Arthur James, revealed that her emotional problems were a result of her liaisons with the Kennedy brothers.

However, it must be stated that these are just one aspect of a much larger and often debated life story of Monroe.

The Final Hours Before Monroe’s Death

Alternative theories about Marilyn Monroe’s death keep spreading, but an official re-examination of the case in 1982 confirmed the original results and pointed out that the largest mystery was if she had in fact planned to do away with herself.

Per the official records, it was the housekeeper of Monroe named Eunice Murray who, upon her observation of a light left burning in the bedroom of the actress, which was locked, got worried at around 1:00 a.m. on Aug. 5, 1962. She first got in touch with the actress’ therapist, Dr. Ralph Greenson, who on the telephone advised her to call Dr. Hyman Engelberg as he was on his way to Monroe’s house.

Engelberg, after the opening of the door, got the first glimpse of the actress, dead and without any signs of life, on a bed covered with a sheet and a light blanket. Police got a call from Engelberg, the physician, about the suffering of Monroe, the dead actor, whom they found upon re-examination. The officials who handled the case discovered that the Nembutal bottle in the room was empty. Moreover, the police found that no suicide note could have explained the act.

Marilyn Monroe Was The Name Greatest Of ALL The Street Names

Even decades after her passing, Marilyn Monroe remains one of the most fascinating showbiz figures ever. People are still quite keen and eager to know about her life and death.

It is rumored that only a few days before her death, Marilyn was contemplating what it was like having caviar, implying that even the most enjoyable things, if they happen every day, can get one tired of.
