Adele out with son Angelo at Justin Bieber’s Coachella set: rare public appearance.

Adele Coachella brings her son Angelo for a rare outing at Justin Bieber’s concert

At Coachella, Adele took her 13-year-old son, Angelo, to Justin Bieber headlining set this weekend. The 37-year-old superstar went for a casual look, donning a loose black suit with ballet flats and big gold earrings while she was walking around the festival site in Palm Springs.

Adele and her ex-husband, Simon Konecki, who got divorced in 2021, are co-parenting their son, Angelo. Her partner, sports agent Rich Paul, was a notable absence at the desert party. The couple’s last public appearance together was at NBA games in Los Angeles late last year, so this mother and son scene is a special treat for the singer’s fans who know her as very private.

Adele and Rich Paul Confirm Engagement at Their Coachella Appearance; Justin Bieber Concert Gets Mixed Reviews

Adele’s new boyfriend, the sports agent Rich Paul, publicly seen together since July 2021, shared their engagement news in August 2024, during her concert in Munich. A fan offered to get married with Adele holding a sign that read, “Will you marry me?” The singer was very kind to turn the fan down and she said, “I can’t marry you because I am already getting married, but I appreciate it.”

On the other hand, Justin Bieber’s long-awaited Coachella return which fans had named “Bieberchella” did not meet the expectations of some of the audience. The singer was in a hoodie and he was performing the songs on laptop which was pretty unconventional for the festival and some people were very upset calling it “lazy” and there were a lot of comments about why the artist didn’t give a high-energy show but instead presented the new music.

Justin Headline Set at Coachella Triggers Fan Backlash Even as Other Artists Deliver Flawless Performances

When Justin Bieber hit the stage as the headliner on day 2 of Coachella, reportedly getting paid $10 million for it, fans were very displeased with him. On the other hand, singer Sabrina Carpenter as day 1 headliner not only looking great but also had multiple outfit changes and amazing visuals while Bieber was just in a hoodie and glasses singing along to YouTube clips and only parts of his hits.

Many fans attending the festival took to social media and described the performance as an “insult” and a “low rent” one, and they even doubted if his $10M paycheck was justified. Some wondered if Bieber’s decision to selling his music catalog meant that he was now so dependent on his latest album that he was unaware of what the audience wanted to hear. With this being Bieber’s first-ever headline performance at Coachella, the fans were not very thrilled by it.

Adele Coachella headlining debut of Bieber sees fans expressing discontent as they compare it to electrifying sets

Justin Bieber’s announced headlining debut at Coachella has sparked a division among fans, majority of them drawing their attention to the “low-key” performance of Bieber compared to that of Sabrina Carpenter’s high-energy show the night before. Critics, on the other hand, took it a step further by noting a “night and day difference” between the two performances, highlighting that Bieber wore a casual hoodie and glasses, and during the performance he was singing along to snippets of his songs played from a laptop.

Some of those who reviewed the performance on social media did not mince the words to express their disappointment and some even went on to question why Bieber was paid a huge amount of $10 million for such a performance that they described as uninspiring. For example, one fan said, “justin rlly up there headlining coachella w/ just a mic & his macbook??” Others, however, went even further to brand the set as “the worst in the festival’s history.” This negative reaction made the fans realize that there was a change in their expectations because what they wanted was a big comeback show by Bieber with a production level similar to that of other past Coachella legends.
