Britney Spears Outer Appearance for First Time Since DUI Detention as Matter last Checked
Britney Spears was publicly acknowledged for the first time since her DUI arrest at the beginning of this month as her case is still under review by the county prosecutors.
A spokeswoman of the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office told the California Post, “The DUI case against Britney Spears has been referred to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office and our prosecutors are still reviewing it.”
The message also stated that if the court needs more information prior to Britney’s May 4, 2026, court date, the decision to file charges may be postponed.
Singer, 44 years old, was seen in Malibu, California, on Sunday, according to a photo released by the fan page BritneysVault. In the photo, Spears is seen wearing a long brown coat while she is at Starbucks counter in the Malibu Country Mart. She wore the outfit with black sunglasses, let her blonde hair down in natural waves and was holding a cellphone while carrying a big orange bag.

Britney Arrested For DUI in Ventura County
On March 4, Britney Spears was arrested for a DUI by the California Highway Patrol in Ventura County and was released the next morning.
This arrest came a few months after the “Toxic” star reportedly was seen driving in an extremely dangerous manner following her night out with a friend.
In a statement to Page Six, Spears’ manager, Cade Hudson called this situation “unforgivable.” He went on to say, “This was a regrettable situation that can in no way be justified. Britney is going to do the right thing by legally taking those steps and hopefully, this could be the first step to the long-overdue change that Britney needs in her life.”
Hudson also hoped that Spears would be getting the right help and support during her difficult time as she goes through it.
Britney , after DUI arrest, depends on Family Support
Britney Spears is said to have been relying on her family including her sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19 for emotional support after her arrest.
Manager Cade Hudson explained in his statement that her sons would be with her as a way of supporting her mentally and physically.
Shortly after her release a Mercedes belonging to Jayden, allegedly a present from Spears last year, was spotted at her residence.
According to a Page Six source, Spears’ sons are very much there for her during this hard time. “They love her and want to support her and just want her to feel really good, ” said the insider.
On top of that, another source reported that Spears is “heartbroken” with her arrest and the whole situation has”frightened her immensely.” Even though she is aware that she must be punished responsibly, those closest to her are wishing that she gets help, not jail time.

Spears reportedly has “regret” over the DUI arrest
According to sources, Britney Spears is having a hard time dealing with the consequences of her recent DUI arrest and feels very sorry for the whole thing.
“She is aware that what has happened is really, really bad and not only her life, but everyone her life depends on including her children can get affected by this, ” a source said. “She is feeling a great deal of remorse for the situation.”
Apart from that the singer”s erratic behavior through social media has left her fans worried. In February when Britney took to Instagram she accused her family of mistreated her and even when she was fortunate enough to be alive, she still feared them.
