Kennedy Rumors Continue to Be a Part of Marilyn’s History
Marilyn Monroe’s tale is often interwoven with the rumor of Kennedy belonging to her life. Nevertheless, to date, these stories are still largely a matter of debate and remain without confirmation.
Until now, there has been no record of any Kennedy publicly mentioning Marilyn Monroe. However, according to J. Randy Taraborrelli in his upcoming book Jackie: Public, Private, Secret (2023), Marilyn Monroe called Jackie Kennedy Onassis in 1962, and the latter felt that the actress was very emotionally vulnerable. However, it must be stated that these are just one aspect of a much larger and often debated life story of Monroe.
The Final Hours Before Monroe’s Death
Alternative theories about Marilyn Monroe’s death keep spreading, but an official re-examination of the case in 1982 confirmed the original results and pointed out that the largest mystery was if she had in fact planned to do away with herself.
Per the official records, it was the housekeeper of Monroe named Eunice Murray who, upon her observation of a light left burning in the bedroom of the actress, which was locked, got worried at around 1:00 a.m. on Aug. 5, 1962. She first got in touch with the actress’ therapist, Dr. Ralph Greenson, who on the telephone advised her to call Dr. Hyman Engelberg as he was on his way to Monroe’s house.

Engelberg, after the opening of the door, got the first glimpse of the actress, dead and without any signs of life, on a bed covered with a sheet and a light blanket. Police got a call from Engelberg, the physician, about the suffering of Monroe, the dead actor, whom they found upon re-examination. The officials who handled the case discovered that the Nembutal bottle in the room was empty. Moreover, the police found that no suicide note could have explained the act.
