Usha Vance, JD Vance’s wife, speaks out about divorce rumors after she was spotted not wearing her wedding ring
Spokesperson for Usha Vance denies rumor of separation following non-ring photo at Camp Lejeune
Following the photos of Usha Vance without her wedding ring during her Nov. 19 visit to Camp Lejeune, the spokesperson for the second lady vehemently denied divorce rumors. The second lady was the only one to accompany the First Lady Melania Trump to the base in a burgundy turtleneck dress and matching heels; the spokesperson considered the rumor of a split from Vice President J.D. Vance as completely untrue.

Spokesperson says that Usha simply forgot to wear her ring
The spokesperson for Usha Vance, the second lady, who along with Vice President JD Vance is raising sons Ewan, 8, and Vivek, 5, and daughter Mirabel, 3, in a statement to People made it clear that the one without the ring in the Nov. 19 visit to Camp Lejeune was Usha, not a divorced woman.
“[Usha is] a mother of three small children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and at times forgets her ring,” the representative said to People. Usha, 39, and JD, 41, tied the knot in 2014 after they met at Yale Law School.
Viral onstage hug with Erika Kirk led to rumors of separation
The talk got louder after the hug between vice president JD Vance and Erika Kirk onstage at a Turning Point USA event last month was noticed by everyone — a moment that went viral and sparked social‑media speculation about his marriage. The late Charlie Kirk, an activist, was shot and killed in September. The widow of the late Charlie Kirk, Erika, met Vance with a big hug and said to the audience, “No one will ever replace my husband. But I do see some similarities of my husband in JD — in Vice President JD Vance. I do.”

Erika Kirk Thanks Usha Vance for Comfort — JD’s Conversion Comment Drew Criticism
At the memorial of Charlie Kirk, Usha was a great support to Erika Kirk, who in an interview with People said that it was through the comforting words of Usha that she was able to attend the service: “She told me, you will get through these 15 minutes and the next 15 minutes after that… those words were the precise ones that I needed to hear.” While the confab happened, JD Vance was receiving a lot of heat in October for his statement in which he expressed a hope that Usha, a person brought up in the Hindu tradition, would adopt his Catholic faith. This comment caused a lot of uproar on the internet.
