Joe Wicks Fears Repeating His Parents’ Anger
Joe Wicks said that exercising is what keeps him calm. He is aware of the fact that he has a pretty good temper in the background, so if he remains calm, he will not get too angry. Joe Wicks shared the truth of the matter, stating that the only way his kids could ever be truly angry with him would be if he started ranting and screaming himself, and that is when he would lose control over his anger, which, by the way, he keeps under complete control at such levels by being calm all the time. A 40-year-old Joe, in an interview, confessed that he’s been wondering for a while how exactly the children would react to the adults’ anger. It was kind of a weak point for him, but he did mention his fears in a Q&A. The couple, along with his father and mother, has gone through quite a lot of difficulties at different times. He has made it very clear how the addiction of heroin for his father was a problem for a long period, and on the mother’s side, she was dealing with serious mental illnesses like OCD and eating disorders. Along with his wife Rosie, Joe has four children: Indie, eight years old, Marley, six years old, Leni, four years old, and Dusty, two years old.
Recently, talking about physical fitness, he emphasized, ‘The exercise today that I always share is that it is about good physical condition, but not only that. ‘It is about mental health also. ‘Boosting your mood so you become confident and energised, and then becoming a good parent and being patient.’
“So I have got four kids under seven, and they stress me out so much, and it is so obvious that if I didn’t exercise, that would be what happens, like I have seen with my mother, who just screamed at me, and she was quite abusive. And I would do the same thing to her.

Joe Opens Up About Parenting and Body Confidence
‘I would have been, like, the dad type of aggressive. For me, I exercise every morning before they wake up so I’m a calm dad.’ He continued, talking about excellence not necessarily having to do with one’s physical condition, which, in this context, would probably refer to one’s body as perceived from the physical standpoint. ‘You don’t have to look a certain way in order to be excellent, or, you know, it is not only about how you look, but it is also more than that. It’s a lot more than that.
‘So wherever you may be as a person, if you are an influencer or you have a platform, always share the message that exercising can be a really powerful tool to change how you feel and can help those around the relationship that you have with them. “But yes, it’s going to be tough all the time because basically humans, by their nature and characteristics of being the lazy creatures that they are, want to rest and conserve our energy and don’t really feel the urge to exercise.”
Joe, on the other hand, talked about being in a low-self-confidence spell because of social media. Joe said he wasn’t afraid of honesty at any level as far as sharing his feelings were concerned, but right now he is feeling very low about himself, and this is because he is seeing videos and reels of guys who are on the most excellent bodies they have ever seen or probably have ever owned, doing testosterone shots and taking peptides.
Joe Wicks Admits Social Media Has Hurt His Confidence
‘And I begin to wonder why I don’t look like that. ‘ You know, I’ve kept on training hard; I’m strong, really; I can, for example, do heavy squats and deadlifts, and still, it does not result in much muscle growth. You see the point, I hope.’ ‘Therefore, your understanding of, like, what is standard, what is basically healthy, and what is fitness always changes. However, I believe just focusing on basics such as sleep, exercise, and diet, without giving in to this picture of fitness and health you think of that is not normal.
A specialist in health and fitness has explained that when he was a kid, he used to exercise not just to avoid stress but also to be away from the atmosphere at home. “Had I not exercised, I would have been quite a problem at home,” he acknowledged. ‘It would have really been impossible for everyone who loves me,’ he said. The one class I was most excited about was PE, ‘ recalled Joe, ‘because it was a time for me to be at my most focused.’ Joe shared stories about his father, Gary, and the struggle that he has with drug addiction in his 2022 BBC documentary Joe Wicks: Facing My Childhood.’

Joe Tearfully Recalls Father’s Heroin Addiction
In the show, he cried as he explained the painful truth of being a youngster seeing a parent who is drug-addicted. He remembered how the dad was lying to him about going out for drugs, which was an experience that really got to him and made him ‘upset, confused, and lost,’ which was the best description Joe could come up with at the time of explaining how he felt.
For the docudrama release, Gary joined Joe, and he opened up about his regret that Joe was put through so much. Gary told his son, ‘I really can’t see that being easy for you, always being told the lies and the truth being denied. Joe’s recollection: “I remember you used to tell me that you were just going for some milk, and you never came back with milk. ” You could have said it right then, and I never would have believed you, because when you told me, ‘I’m just going to the shop for some milk,’ I knew you hadn’t gone to the shop at all, that you had simply gone off to get high on drugs.”
Joe said tearfully that ‘was the situation and you were there, the father who was on the drugs and you know how I feel at the moment, being a mother myself, so it is hard to believe that some children have been left in such terrible situations by neglectful parents.’
Joe Wicks Hopes His Childhood Story Inspires Others
The body coach kept holding his head, and he finally let the emotions out, and his voice broke while he was emotionally talking in front of him. Joe’s mom, who left him in the care of his dad for some time, was also dealing with a lot of things in life, such as OCD and mental health issues; the star has even mentioned his parents’ problems. He recently told Radio Times in the documentary Joe revealed the following: ”
In those years, when I was just a kid, I totally didn’t realize that my parents were facing mental issues at all. To my mind, I simply had a dad who was doing drugs and a mom who was into cleaning.’
`’But I also understood that I have this power to relate my own experiences to others and that it would possibly lead to positive changes for them.’`
