The My Universe Coldplay x BTS Music Video Gets a LEGO Remake

People remaking things in LEGO is one of my favourite kinds of fan made content to talk about and today seems to be my lucky day as one of my favourite music videos just got a complete LEGO makeover. Coldplay LEGO is a Twitter and Instagram account that- as the name suggests- creates short Coldplay related videos remade in LEGO. Their YouTube channel- Le Studio de Clément– has also released some LEGO animations based on Star Wars and the video game Among Us too. Their first full length recreation of a music video was released yesterday for “My Universe”, the collaboration between Coldplay and BTS.

This LEGO recreation is absolutely amazing and has clearly had a lot of time, effort and hard work put into it. Each member from the three bands in the music video- Coldplay, BTS and the fictional Supernova7- has their own LEGO character design that fits them perfectly. I particularly love the little duck like characters- canonically called Loop and Switch- in their LEGO forms. There is so much attention to detail in technical elements too, such as the lighting and the cinematography. Of course, the animation is spectacular too. It looks like it was ripped directly from one of the LEGO video games. In fact, I would now like a LEGO game set in this sci-fi world with all of these characters please and thank you.

Watch the entire fan- made “My Universe” LEGO video above and make sure to check out the Coldplay LEGO team on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
