Helen Flanagan Shares Her Struggles As A Single Mum
Helen Flanagan has openly admitted what it’s like being a single mother to three children at the same time through her interview: she has never been happier, despite being called “tired” and “overstimulated.” Matilda, born when the century began; Delilah, in the golden five decades; and Charlie, even younger, the trio came into this world together from Helen and her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair’s love. Their love ended in 2022, after a decade and two years together.
In her Instagram post, Helen described herself as the Wicked Witch of the West, as that’s who she was becoming, with the kids often fighting with each other all day long after they were born. Helen said she still loves raising her kids the best after admitting she is going through some hard times. She shared that it’s not easy for her, even when others think it’s nothing but taking a couple of extra sleep hours to do all those things.

Being a single parent for a year is quite enough, but recently Helen Flanagan accepted it and, at the same time, celebrated her 36th birthday with Delilah, her daughter, who is not only one of her best friends. Their precious moment took place as they were holidaying in the beautiful city of Como on Lake Como.

Moreover, now her circumstances allow her to thoroughly enjoy the liberation brought by not being in romantic entanglements to the full extent at least at her current stage of life.
The actress further disclosed that now and then, she misses being around a man’s company, yet she still wants to keep it as a single lifestyle. In fact, a part of her would rather stay unattached forever than end up being in an unfulfilling relationship or with a partner who is not good enough for her, in fact.
Helen Reveals the Challenges of Being a Single Mother
During an interview with Hello! In the magazine, Helen Flanagan talked about being happier with her babies, family, and her loved ones rather than the other way around. Furthermore, Helen shared her vulnerability of how being apart can lead her down a path of depression or anger as well, and she also gave the topic of being a parent an airing and how she feels overwhelmed with self-blame when she’s away from her kids on different days.
Mother of three, Helen also praises her mom and the role she plays in raising their children and how she helps a lot at home with managing the kids’ schedule and their homework and activities, their washing, uniforms, and also with the meals.
“My mum is absolutely incredible,” said Helen. “My children have so many things to do; it’s very hectic.” She was also very emotional and mentioned that she “couldn’t live if I didn’t have her.”
